I highly recommend this tattoo parlour. Pooh has done 3 of my tattoos exceptionally well. Colour has been great and the designs were absolutely fantastic. His skill and workmanship is unmatched with fair pricing. I will complete all of my planned tattoos here. If you want transparent pricing and a truly collaborative experience, pay them a visit!

My partner and I came a few days ago to get several tattoos! The place is truly charming and very welcoming; everyone is so attentive. Hygiene is impeccable—everything meets standards, and wow, what talent! We have two very different styles, and both of us found exactly what we wanted. They take their time, listen carefully, and are incredibly meticulous! The results are amazing, and the healing is going perfectly. Many thanks again to Pooh and the whole team!

EDIT: DO NOT BELIEVE THIS SHOP'S REPLY. I politely confronted them during and after the tattoo, but left disappointed and a little sad. TL;DR: I was unknowingly tattooed by an apprentice despite asking for an experienced artist, asked about it halfway through the tattoo, and they lied about his experience and skill. I also asked for black ink and shading, no colour, and was tattooed with light grey ink anyway. I want to impress on future customers of this shop to be careful, clear, and double check EVERYTHING. The full story is that I found La Thàn on Instagram while searching for a specific tattoo style. At the shop, I showed pictures on my phone and pointed at designs, requesting the artist responsible. When they brought an artist over, I assumed they were the one I’d asked for. I didn’t double-check, which is on me, but I thought I had been clear. I paid full price for what should’ve been a high-quality, professional tattoo, but quickly became suspicious of the artist tattooing me. Here’s why: - The artist seemed nervous and clumsy with the tools. - There were some hygiene concerns, like that the artist never once changed or even disinfected his gloves while handling his phone, drawers, and grabbing non-sterile materials. - When I asked for the artist’s Instagram, the reception team didn’t know it and had to check, which felt odd. - A tattoo of this size should not have taken 5 hours. 3 hours into the tattoo, I thought we had finished, but only the line-work was done. I asked the receptionist if the artist was an apprentice. She told me he was a professional with a lot of experience, just new to the studio (this should’ve raised an alarm, since the artist I requested appeared long-established on their Instagram). Later, I visited the artist’s personal Instagram and found the quality of their posted work — clean lines and polished realism — didn’t align with my tattoo. My lines were shaky, inconsistent, blown out in spots, and shading and filling were also missing in multiple places. I didn’t notice while he was working on it, but the artist also used light grey ink, despite me specifically asking and confirming multiple times that I wanted only black ink and shading. Two days after the tattoo, I reached out on instagram, clearly stating the bad quality of the tattoo and that I believed my artist, despite being told otherwise, was an apprentice, and they agreed to let me come back to the shop for a touch up. They never denied him being an apprentice again. The artist I originally requested came and apologised, then worked on this already fresh tattoo for another 3 hours to fix it, significantly improving it. However, it still isn’t what I had hoped for. So in short, although they helped fix the problem, I was tattooed with ink I had specifically asked not to use, by an apprentice without being asked or informed, and they lied about it when confronted, which made the overall experience pretty upsetting as far as getting tattooed abroad goes.

Wonderful experience getting a half forearm Polynesian armband tattoo. I messaged the studio at night on WhatsApp, came in the next day and met with Pooh. He was free that day and was able to design the tattoo and tattoo me that same afternoon/evening! Pooh was very kind and listened to my vision, he was very meticulous with cleanliness and ensuring the tattoo was as clean as possible! Even with the language barrier, we were able to communicate through Google translate 👍🏾

We were lucky enough to meet Pooh, a great tattoo artist, he was funny and sweet, and even changed my piercings when the piercing stylist was out! My friend got two tattoos that came out perfect, with Pooh’s really good eye measurements and precision! Highly recommend, nice and clean studio<3

It was my first tattoo, and even though I didn't understand the language, they used a translator and treated me very politely! The technique was also excellent, and I want to come again when I get another tattoo.

I got tattooed by Pooh (sorry if I misspelled your name). He is very talented, extremely meticulous, and you can tell he wants the tattoo to be perfect. He is super kind and generous; he offered us food and drinks because I hadn't eaten. The studio's hygiene is more than perfect, everything is wrapped in plastic. The studio is large and beautiful.

Absolutely amazing work and service! Pooh was my artist and his service, steady hand and attention to detail were all amazing! The parlour even provided us with juice and snacks during our sitting despite us only being there for a few hours! Cannot reccomend this place more to bring home a life long souvenir from Vietnam ❤️ You can really tell they take pride in what they do and want to deliver the best service! 10/10 reccomend!!

I’m currently on holiday in Hanoi, Vietnam, and dropped into La Thành Tattoo & Piercing where Booa did an awesome job on a tattoo of Africa on my triceps. Booa is a proper professional: skilled, focused, and easygoing. The lines are clean, the placement is spot-on, and he really knows his craft. The studio is clean, well-run, and has a relaxed vibe. Do NOT book here if you’re getting anything more than a tiny, simple tattoo. I paid for 3 tattoos and was promised they’d all be completed in one sitting. Instead, the artist only completed 20% of ONE — and wanted me to sit for over 8 hours straight, into the night, in pain. I cried during the session because it wasn’t even the kind of “fix” I asked for — he just went over the same lines again without making any real improvements. When I explained this, they refused a refund, even though they didn’t deliver what was promised. I later spoke to a professional studio, who told me the work should’ve taken 3 hours max — this artist dragged it out for 7+ hours with just one small break. Poor communication, bad time management, and zero understanding of proper tattoo practices. Not a safe or supportive space for cover-ups or larger pieces. Avoid if you value your time, money, or mental well-being.

Very detailed, Pooh was great, turned out to be one of my better tattoos
