Great experience for my first handpoke tattoo! I contacted the team via Instagram, got a quick response and good advice right from the start. On the day, everyone was friendly and welcoming, I felt comfortable. The place is cool too. Dori took care of me, gave me all the advice for healing and aftercare, and I even got bonus photos 🙌 The tattoo healed really well and I'm super happy with the result. I recommend 100%! 🪷
Super expérience pour mon premier tatouage handpoke ! J’ai contacté l’équipe via Instagram, réponse rapide et bons conseils dès le départ. Le jour J, tout le monde était sympa et avenant, je me suis sentie à l’aise. L’endroit est cool aussi. Dori s’est occupée de moi, elle m’a donné tous les conseils pour la cicatrisation et l’entretien, et j’ai même eu des photos en bonus 🙌 Le tatouage a super bien cicatrisé et je suis trop contente du résultat. Je recommande à 100% ! 🪷

Very relaxed and cool atmosphere. I got a tattoo by Kozu as I loved his style of work but all the artists there are very talented and friendly. Definitely recommend if you want to get a tattoo in Hanoi ☺️

I had a wonderful time getting my tattoo from kozu here! It was a super last minute booking and he graciously took me on. Super cute flash and a respectful, cute and clean place. Looks to be a very chill and community oriented space, with one of the other artists daughter coming in and playing and talking with us as we got our tattoos. Seems to be that locals and visitors alike love getting tattoos at HanXam! One day when I’m back I hope to get another.

I got part of my back tattoo done here a few months ago. First of all, it healed amazingly. The atmosphere in the studio is incredible, and everyone is really welcoming and friendly. I got tattooed by Hung Xu (the owner of the studio) because I loved his style and really wanted to incorporate it into my little collection (I get a tattoo for every country I visit). It was a bit spontaneous and I was really picky with the design, but he was so accommodating and took the time to design the perfect piece. My experience at the studio was fantastic. He took a lot of time to make the placement perfectly symmetrical and always knew exactly when I needed a short break. You should definitely come here to get your next tattoo!

I had a great experience. The tattoo I got was a hand poke and it was done extremely well! The time of the tattoo didn’t take as long as originally planned so they lowered the price to match the time taken. Very happy and would come back

I just did a thin line tattoo and it’s amazing. Everything went smoothly, I send on message on instagram first to see if what I had in mind was possible and I came a few weeks after and I love the tattoo Thank you again

Hung and his team are so hospitable, kind, attentive and supportive! The studio is so warm and welcoming, Hung fed us before our session, which was soooo helpful because I knew how much more pain I'd be in if I wasn't well fed. It was a very long session but Hung made sure to check in frequently and was very supportive. I loveeeeeee my tattoo so much!!!! A memory I will never forget.

Amazing studio! I got a fine-line tower tattoo and the precision is incredible. The hygiene standards are perfect and the staff provides great support and care. Very professional team. Highly recommend HandXam in Hanoi!

Had a great experience here - I messaged them on Instagram with an idea and was able to get an appointment almost immediately. The tattooing process was really good and Mr Simple was super helpful with working out placement and sizing.

I am very satisfied with my visit to HandXăm. Everything was clean and tidy, and the contact was super quick – my inquiry was answered immediately. Although I had little time, they really did everything to make my tattoo possible. Luckily, my flight had a departure change, so the timing was perfect. The language barrier was no problem at all – my tattoo artist spoke very good English, which made communication very easy. She was also very courteous, friendly, and put a lot of effort in. I got a hand-poked tattoo in the handpoke style and am really happy with the result. I can only recommend it!
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit meinem Besuch bei HandXăm. Alles war sauber und ordentlich, und die Kontaktaufnahme lief super schnell – auf meine Anfrage wurde direkt reagiert. Obwohl ich nur wenig Zeit hatte, haben sie wirklich alles versucht, um mir mein Tattoo zu ermöglichen. Zum Glück hatte mein Flug noch eine Abflugänderung, sodass es perfekt gepasst hat. Auch die Sprachbarriere war überhaupt kein Problem – meine Tätowiererin hat sehr gut Englisch gesprochen, was die Kommunikation total einfach gemacht hat. Sie war außerdem sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hat sich viel Mühe gegeben. Ich habe ein handgestochenes Tattoo im Handpoke-Style bekommen und bin richtig glücklich mit dem Ergebnis. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Couldn’t dream of a better experience for a tattoo in Hanoi. All the staff was great and so nice. My tattoo with Mr.Simple is just perfect. It was a last minute idea and he went out of his way to create my dream tattoo in a few hours. 100% recommend, every artist is very skilled ! Two of my friends got tattoos with the other artists and they are beautiful. This will be a forever memory of Hanoi thanks to Mr Simple.

I had an incredible experience at Handxam Tattoo during my trip to Vietnam. I originally reached out over social media to set up a small piece, but since we had some extra time to spare once I got there, we went for it and did a half sleeve instead. I’m absolutely stoked with the design. The detail is amazing, and it’s easily the best souvenir from my trip. What really stood out was how they treated me. Since I ended up being there most of the day for the larger piece, the crew was nice enough to invite me to join them for lunch. It’s rare to find a shop that’s not only high-level with their art but also that welcoming. If you’re in Vietnam and looking for world-class ink and good people, go see them. Highly recommend!

I had tattoos by both Kozu and Mr Simple and they were both wonderful! Very fair pricing for really skilled artists. Great designs, very chilled vibe in the studio, can't recommend enough!! If you're thinking about it, do it!

Amazing Tattoo shop! Got us in for last minute matching Tattoos. Super friendly team and super clean ! Made some changes to the flash, no problem. Great price and unique style for each artist was a big plus. We Will be coming back to get more Tattoos when we come back to hanoi !

My husband and I booked in tattoo's as our own souvenir from Hanoi (my first). The whole team was welcoming and warm. Their attention to detail and patience is commendable.We had to bring both our children and the team were so gracious with them. Shoutout to Tuan for giving them their own hand drawn tattoos, he's truely given them a lasting memory in their childhood.

I got three fineline tattoos and they turned out so well! We arranged everything through Instagram, and I was able to choose layouts in advance, which made the appointment easier. The tattoo artist accommodated all my wishes and was very relaxed, making the tattooing very pleasant. I can really only recommend it!!
Ich habe mir 3 Fineline Tattoos stechen lassen und sie sind so gut geworden! Wir haben alles über Instagram ausgemacht und habe vorab auch schon Layouts auswählen können, was den Termin vereinfacht hat. Der Tätowierer ist auf all meine Wünsche eingegangen und war sehr gelassen was das Stechen sehr angenehm machte. Ich kann es wirklich nur empfehlen!!

I had this idea and contacted Mr. Simple directly on Instagram! It was easy and fast and he did exactly what I had in mind. The HandXam studio was cozy, music was fun and everyone working there were lovely. I had a wonderful time and would definitly recommend it to anyone planning a tattoo in Vietnam!

Always excellent. The 2nd piece from Handxam. In particular, Mr. Simple. Handxam is a studio that is worth holding onto your ideas for. Custom design. The photos speak for themselves. If ever you plan to visit Hanoi, plan your tattoo in advance.

The best experience! They really took their time and effort to help me with anything! I felt safe and understood the whole time. Simple is a lovely and talented artist that makes your vision come true! They helped me with the aftercare and always answered my texts and requests within minutes. So this is really a great and safe tattoo studio for everyone. Especially when it’s one of your first experiences.

Came here for a consultation yesterday after looking at their work online. The manager and Mister Simple were welcoming and helpful. The whole shop was really. Nice clean, chill environment. Came back later in the day once the design was completed and we tweaked it a bit more and got straight into it. The tattoo involved a cover up, as well as going over a scar. Really pleased with the result, even went back today as it leaked a bit overnight and they were only to happy to check it out for me this morning. From the moment I stepped inside and discussing and describing the tattoo design, language wasn't a barrier. Google translate got a few words we were stuck on. To get to the studio you need to walk into the basement, up a flight of stairs and then into the lift. Highly recommend! 10/10

Really lovely tattoo studio. The staff are welcoming and make you feel comfortable whilst also being very professional. Perfectly nailed what I had asked for but also at the same time adding their own unique style. If you’re looking to get a permanent souvenir in Hanoi I would highly recommend HandXăm Tattoo! :))

They make sure you feel comfortable and are very patient with the design and placement. I really recommend them!

I got a Vietnamese bronze drum tattoo on my wrist in the U.S. last year and honestly wasn’t happy with how it turned out. Later, I came across Anh Hung’s Instagram and realized his style was exactly what I had originally wanted. I liked his work so much that I decided to travel to Hanoi to get tattooed by him. Since I already had the tattoo, he worked with what was there—adding design elements and doing some cover-up work to improve it. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I only wish I had gotten the tattoo done by him from the start because I’m sure I would have loved it even more. Now I can finally wear my tattoo proudly without feeling like I need to hide it. The shop itself is clean and has a great vibe, and the other artists there are incredibly talented as well. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Hanoi and want to leave with a meaningful piece of Vietnam

Getting a tattoo at HandXăm was an absolutely fantastic experience!! Communication before and after the appointment was flawless and the studio had such a warm, welcoming vibe. I changed my mind about the design right before the appointment, yet Mr. Simple accommodated it without any issues and did a fantastic job bringing it to life. I couldn't recommend them enough!! I've been in Hanoi a couple days and got tattood at HandXam. Everyone was very nice, it had a cozy atmosphere and am very happy with the results. Also they changed my 2nd skin the day after I got my tattoo done, because it came off during the night. Thank you guys! <3

10/10 experience, no notes 😝 Got my tattoo done by artist Dang and I’m literally obsessed. The whole process was fast and clean, really detailed and professional. They answered every single one of my questions (even though I had a lot 😭) with the sweetest, most chill attitude. And Dang? Is incredibly responsible and truly cares about his art 🫶🏻
